Location & Directions

From London & The South
Take the M4, across the Severn Bridge, past Cardiff on to Port Talbot, then follow the signs to Carmarthen.

From Birmingham and the Midlands
Take the M5, leaving at Junction 8, for the M50, to Ross-on-Wye; then the A40 through Monmouth, and on to the A449, which joins the M4, west of the Severn Bridge at junction 24.
Now follow the signs to Carmarthen.

From Carmarthen
Take the A40 dual carriageway west for approx. 17 miles, sign posted St Clears, then Haverfordwest.

Bypass the town of Whitland.

Pass an Oil4Wales Petrol Filling Station on your left, and our sign on the right. “Gwarmacwydd Farm Cottages”

There is now a DIVERSION so continue heading WEST  on the A40 to the next temporary roundabout and take the second exit, almost a U-turn, back onto a new road.

Then take the slip road controlled by temporary traffic lights to get back on the road to Llanfallteg.

Proceed north along the road for approx. 2.5 miles passing over a railway bridge, and the bridge over the river Taf, into and through Llanfallteg Village and up the hill.

Ignore the turning right – the entrance to Gwarmacwydd is just a little further on your left-hand side immediately past the old Llwyncelyn farmhouse.

Sat Nav can take you past the entrance.

Look for the stone pillars with metal iron works topped by a buzzard.

The postcode in SATNAV will take you PAST THE ENTRANCE – use Google maps and enter your destination as either:
